Junella Chammas D.O.M.P., Ds.C.O

Junella started her educational career with a program called Special Care Counselling at Vanier College. She learned many skills in communication and counselling. Upon graduation, she then attended Concordia University where she got her bachelors degree in Human Relations. During this time she also got her certification as a registered massage therapist. It was the combination of all these professions that has ultimately led her to Osteopathy.

Junella studied Osteopathy at the Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO) the sister school of the College D’Etude d’Osteopathie in Montreal. She entered the program in 2009 and completed 5 years of study and won the Celeste Cullen Memorial Award, awarded for scholastic achievement and socially minded behaviour. She went on to do 3 years of thesis work. In 2017, Junella defended her thesis topic ‘Global osteopathic treatments on cortisol levels in burnout patients’ and graduated from the CCO.

In 2013 Junella deepened her osteopathic practice by joining Osteopaths Without Borders in Peru. Expanding skill sets and meeting other osteopaths from around the world, learning, connecting and giving back to those in need.

In 2019, she spent a month at the Sivananda ashram in Paradise Island, Bahamas, were she studied yoga and yogic practises, becoming a certified yoga instructor and registered with the International yoga organization.

Junella has dedicated her life to bettering the lives of others in what ever way, no matter how big or small, a positive change can always be made.
